Quiz Night has always been an incredibly important date in BeyondAutism's year, raising more than £16,000 in 2019. Your generosity has helped our charity grow and thrive: Quiz Night 2019 film
A recent BBC Newsnight feature highlights how children with SEN are extremely vulnerable to skills regression during the pandemic. All of the children and young adults we work with are classed as ‘vulnerable’ and we have kept our services open in adapted formats throughout. Our charity also offered a summer activities week for our children and young adults during the school holidays as many other provisions were forced to close. We are exceptionally proud of our teaching team of key workers for their work and dedication, and to families for their positivity and resilience - but there is no doubt that it has been a testing year for us all.
“Being surrounded by people who genuinely enjoy their jobs and want to help has been so uplifting and supportive in some of the darkest and unknowing times of our lives. This service is literally a lifeline and allows families to see beyond themselves and beyond their child’s difficulties and shifts mindsets into gratitude and positivity. My only wish is that more families have the chance to access it." – BeyondAutism Parent
Your funding will help us to navigate and adapt to new challenges quickly whilst continuing to provide essential support, to ensure our children and young adults continue to be cared for and our families feel connected.
